IMPORTANT INFORMATION

If this event has to be cancelled on account of Corona anyone who has booked will have the option to receive a refund or to transfer their deposit to another event next year.

On our Activity Retreats Aerial Course you will have the opportunity to work on trapeze, rope, silks and hoop. Both from a high outdoor rig and a lower covered barn, prepared for any weather and all abilities.

Our lead trainer this year is the amazing Kate De Wales, former NoFit State performer and teacher for ten years.

A typical week might look like this:

Each morning will start with a  swim in the pool if you feel so inclined followed by a yoga session and then a nutritious breakfast prepared by our highly qualified cook.

There will be three training sessions each day and by the end of the second day you will have had an opportunity to experiment with all of the apparatus.

The morning session will lead into lunch and you will have a few hours of relaxation by the pool prior to the afternoon/early evening session, which will be followed by the evening meal, which will be designed to replenish nutrients and energy in readiness for the next day’s challenges.

On the third day you may get the chance to focus on one discipline. We will then work on putting a piece together using the new moves you have discovered.

Toward the end of the week you may start to learn some techniques to help you with the creative and theatrical elements of performance. This will also help with linking moves together and being more expressive and fluid when performing to music.

By the end of the week you will feel energised and exhilarated and ready to show off your new skills.

Food and Nutrition

Our fitness courses promise to be a full body work out from the inside to the outside.

Meals will be carefully prepared by our experienced cook, Paul, to ensure everyone gets the key nutrients required to sustain them throughout a high energy programme of activity.

Passionate about health and wellness and a keen foodie, Paul will be preparing tasty and nutritionally balanced meals that will compliment our retreat activities. Prepared with care using local, whole, organic, fresh (much of it from our own garden) foods, he aims to make delicious meals that are as nutrient dense as possible, mindful of the therapeutic benefit of every ingredient.

We aim to offer vegetarians and vegans as much variety and choice as omnivores without stinting on flavour or nutritional value. We will be asking students to please let us know if they have any allergies or other dietary requirements so that we might take these into consideration when preparing menus..
